Lomilomi Massage

Service Description

Lomilomi is the traditional bodywork of Hawai’i. In these sessions, we work with all aspects of the person – physical, mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual. Whether you are here for pain relief, support navigating challenging circumstances, trauma recovery, or looking to connect more deeply with your own innate wisdom/intuition/higher self/spirit, Lomilomi can bring you into the space of vertical time where profound healing occurs. My style of Lomi typically uses a long flowing strokes that emulate ocean waves to integrate the whole body, move energy, and release pain, tension, and blockages. This improves circulation and helps the lymphatic system eliminate toxins. We can also use manual stretching to improve flexibility and range of motion and bonewashing/creating space to aid in the release of stuck energy. Sessions often include meditation and breath to help us reconnect with our body, feelings, and sense of purpose and potential in life. There are multiple draping options and it is up to you to decide what you are most comfortable with. ~We can use a loin-cloth style draping which allows for the wave-like strokes to flow across the whole body spontaneously. ~We can use standard western-style draping and work on each area individually using Lomi techniques. ~We can also do sessions fully clothed without oil using other Lomi tools such as bonewashing and creating space.
